African laundry hampers bring amazing artisan craftsmanship into our living spaces and are beautiful pieces of decor or storage. Our baskets are handwoven by an association of more than 100 rural Wolof women in the West African nation of Senegal. Our African baskets are handwoven from cattail stalks and recycled praying mats and come from a Fair Trade company that is female-owned and which we have proudly sold since our store inception.
